Before posting flower shots I've taken this week, I want to thank Denise who blogs at An English Girl Rambles and who is the Today's Flowers host for for the book give-a-way I won. I was so happy to receive the beautiful book by Sara Chapman: Flowers of Volunteer Park Conservatory.
This book includes photographs from each month at this wonderful conservatory in Seattle. The photography brings this beautiful place alive on the page.
In my neck of the woods (central NC) we are moving rapidly into spring. Above I photographed the dogwoods and below are azaleas blooming in front of my house.
Next is a closer look at the dogwood blossoms.
Next is another azalea shot. The azaleas are blooming earlier than usual this year, although most are still at the bud stage.
My white camellias are especially pretty this year.
I have a lot of white flowers in front of my house (bushes and trees).
I have two different varieties of yellow tulips that are blooming in my back yard.
I'm still waiting for the red tulips to bloom.
simply beautifully captured shots ...lovely!
Have a nice day!!
That is a lot of white flowers!!! My favourite image is the first one of the azaleas!!!
Such beautiful shots Carver - the white azaleas especially!
White is often hard to capture and you did a wonderful job.
Everything here has been late and then seems to have bloomed quickly.
Congratulations on your win! I love all your pristine white flowers. That dogwood tree is pure joy.
These are beauties Carver and I'm so happy you are enjoying Sara's book. I love my copy and browse through it constantly. Have a great weekend :)
what lovely photos of your spring flowers!

I ADORE all those beautiful flowers! Wow, that white camellia! But they are all so stunning! And you won! How exciting! I am so happy for you. It sounds like a wonderful book!
Amei todas as suas flores!
Your flowers are perfect; I'm so glad they're doing beautifully after that winter! And your love of flowers and ability to share their beauty with us make you the perfect person to win Sarah's book...I have visited her blog and I'm sure the book is fantastic.
