Today's Flowers: Walking around the block in my neighborhood

There's still a lot in bloom in my neighborhood so I decided to shoot some of the flowers as I walked around with my camera in hand.

Photobucket

The first shot looks more like spring to me even though I took the photo on the first day of October. The second shot has a more seasonal feel and is what I associate with early fall. However, the grass is mighty green for this time of year.

So pretty! And yes, the flowers are fading, also in Oslo. Soon we will have to dig in our archive to find pictures for Today's Flowers!

Two lovely photographs. The second shows a really well put-together garden. They definitely must have the green thumb. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.

Love that first one Carver - lovely light!
I like the second for the dappled shadows.
Sad to say my lawn is very dull already.

That particular Camellia usually flowers in the autumn to provide a memory of spring.

And that house looks really cozy!

It does like spring, doesn't it? Usually, you can tell a fall photo because the quality of the light is different - the way that fall casts shadows and the way the light has a golden glow. That photo doesn't . . . interesting!

Thanks to everyone for visiting and to answer questions, no, that's not my house. I live around the corner on a hill lot which I like because it's bigger and I have huge trees in the front (shade garden) and then more of a sun garden in the back.
