Weekend Snapshot: Number 61

I didn't do anything special this weekend but I did take a lot of photographs. The trees look like they have caught on fire.
In spite of several mornings with a hard freeze, I still have some late roses.
Another of my favorite fall sites are my viburnum berries. They are bursting out of their white covers. The nandina berries are also cropping up to add a splash of color to the bushes.
The mix of leaves which are in full fall color and those which haven't changed yet, makes it look like a fire is burning but hasn't enveloped all the leaves yet. Or that's what it looks like to me.

To visit other participants you can go to the Home of Weekend Snapshot on Monday.

I've never seen those berries. They have got a pretty interesting structure which makes them look as if they're popping out from mushrooms.
The rose has got beautiful 2 shades of color too! :)

Sigh . . . sure wish I could remember the names of all those plants! They are one thing that just doesn't stick in the ol' noggin. I really like the verbinium berry (sp?)!!! Happy November!

oh, forgive me carver but i really am not blessed with enough knowledge of natures' gifts especially fruits & flowers! hahaha! i do appreciate their beauty, of course, but i guess growing up with a family less attached to nature's bounty is what makes me so deprived. i can only be sure of a flower if it is a rose. and i can only be sure of a fruit if it is either a banana or an apple! hahaha! my kids & my wife laugh at me all the time because i cannot identify fruits and flowers like them!

ah, you still have so much colour!
most of our trees are already almost bare...
and the rose still looks so fresh.
