Today's Flowers: Drive by Flower Shooting

On a recent road trip we passed road side sunflowers.

Later we passed a sunflower farm but most of those sunflowers were already going to seed.

I'm not sure what the next field of plants, with flowering tops, is but I'm guessing some kind of agricultural crop.

There were lots of lilies along the way.

I wasn't driving but we were going fast so it was hard for me to shoot.

I could tell the heat was harming some of the road side flowers while others were doing well.

The next shot looks to me like little dots of yellow were painted on the side of the road. I'm not sure what kind of flowers they are, maybe coriopsis.

Today's flowers will be returning August 18.

These are very beautiful shots. I love the yellow and the feeling of summer that emanates from these images.

Lovely collection - tells us a bit about rural life as well.

You did pretty well with your drive-inn shooting....I remember sunflower fields when we drove through Kansas once at the right season (they're probably not doing well this year with the drought there)...anyway, I didn't know they'd grow like that where you are.....I've seen that one crop too but can't ID it.. when I'm Queen of the World, farmers will always put up identifying signs on their fields ;>)
