Photohunters: Dirty

Many of life's greatest pleasures and beautiful sights are dirty.

Gardening is dirty as well as life sustaining.

Walking in the woods is quite often dirty as well as a pleasure.

The dirt trail is literally dirty as well as beautiful.

The mushroom grows in the dirt and it looks like the downpour made its top dirty.

It would be easy to trip on the roots anchored in dirt and become dirty all over.

I only covered the child approved dirty topics but in general I don't get why dirty got a bad name, considering how important dirt is to life, pleasure, and growth. Click for the home of photohunters.

Very good points Carver! Dirt within nature is actually a very good thing! :) Happy weekend and happy photo hunting!

Beautiful photos and I have to agree with Sue. You have a point there. Not all dirty things are ugly. :)

Have a fabulous weekend!

How true. Besides most of us love getting dirty in our garden, don't we?

Happy weekend to you Carver.

Excellent take on the theme. Without dirt we would be dead!

Great take on the theme, Carver. Re tripping over tree roots: ya, I often have to deal with this while hiking out in Hong Kong too. And for some reason, it can seem like the most tree-root covered paths are downhill ones... So double the hazard there! ;b

I wish I could become a child again and get myself dirty doing the activities I want. Too bad, not a child anymore.

Hi Carver,

I especailly like the last photo w/ its cool shadows. I agree that "dirty" should not be the adjective to describe certain acts that some feel are inappropriate "or unclean" to children. To me, making love, for example, is a positive and absolutely wonderful experience.

This is a perceptive post about nature's beauty and dirt. In nature our dirt is our earth, our Mother earth, our ground. I've missed your posts.
