Today's Flowers: Usual suspects

These are some shots I took this week around my house.
01todayflowfaDSCN6285
Nothing new but some fading flowers like the hydrangea below and the fairy aster above which is a late bloomer.

The fairy asters usually don't bloom until the end of summer but I had some bloom early this year.
01todayfloDSCN6282
I'm glad there are still some starting with later blooms since I was afraid they'd be spent by now due to the earlier than normal ones.

There are still quite a few rose of sharon in bloom.

I've been posting a lot of the same flowers lately but they are what I have readily available to shoot in my yard.

The rose of sharon in the next shot volunteered up through my hydrangea bush.

I think Fairy Aster is such a sweet name. It's lovely seeing your Rose of Sharon blooms. Mine have all gone and many leaves have already dropped.
Love those intricate patterns of the decayed hydrangea leaves - nature is amazing.

I am falling more and more in love with the Rose of Sharon. And I've noticed the hydrangeas around here, like yours still beautiful in all their fading glory!

Lovely pictures!
Actually you have many flowers in your garden I grow here in Toronto as well.
It is fall and flower fade away but the colours of the leaves are beautiful.

Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer the question, rose of sharon is the common name for the variety of hibiscus in my photographs. This type of hibiscus has much smaller flowers than some hibiscus but it comes back outside in my climate while the tropical varieties aren't as hardy where I live.

Lovely, Carter. You may be right that the asters on my blog are fairy asters too. ;)
