Today's Flowers: Thinks it is a tree

Usually I like to take macro or closeup shots of the rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) in my yard.

This week I also thought I'd include some shots showing how it is trying to grow up to the trees.

I think most of my recent posts of the rose of sharon have been the white and white with red centers.

Therefore, I'm featuring the pink this time.

It seems to be in a race with the trees :)

we bought a rose of sharon from the catalog last year, and it's still small today, but we were gifted with a flower. it's a little purplish in color. this one's really pretty.

it's a beauty especially with all the greenery.

It's so very beautiful! The pink makes you want to just devour it, like a pink confection! It's looking up at the sky, soaking in all the wonderful sunshine. Very nice.

I really love this flower; I don't see it where we live or stay. Lucky you!
