Today's Flowers: Blooms in downtown Raleigh, NC

The hydrangeas around the Capitol in downtown Raleigh, NC are blooming well.

Last weekend there were some extra blooms downtown as part of artsplosure.

 Local landscapers put out displays of flowers around the sculptures.

It must have been a lot of work for a weekend festival.

As a lover of flowers it was a bonus to see all the blooms.

Back at capitol square the permanent landscape is also looking beautiful with amaryllis blooming.

Interesting assortment of beauties. Hydrangeas do beautifully in Oregon (they should still be blooming when we get there)...but amarylis definitely not. Raleigh is obviously a great place to garden.

The first pink one is camellia? I am crazy about them since I found out the oil is very exotic.

Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer the question I think the pink flower on the Today's Flower logo is a camellia but since I didn't design the logo I'm not sure. If the question mean the first shot of mine, those are hydrangeas.
