Update on Weekend Snapshot (thanks for the Help with image transfer)

My weekend snapshot post is below this one but I wanted to go ahead and thank everyone who commented on my WS post for your tips on how to get photographs from my new cell phone to my computer. I managed to do it with bluetooth. The first photograph in this post is one I took with my regular camera some time ago and I'm posting it for the sake of comparison with one I took with my cell phone camera. I don't think my phone camera will be up to the job of landscapes.I picked the shot above because it was taken close to the same spot as where I took the one on my cell phone and it was taken around the same time of year. The most disappointing part of the cell shot was that there was this wonderful formation of ducks just on the edge of the tree reflections and you can't see them at all in the shot below.
The only reason I tried a shot with my cell phone camera since I didn't have my regular camera was to capture the interesting formation of the ducks. Maybe since they were in the line where the clouds were reflected they blended in.
The fall shot above is another from Shelley Lake taken with my regular camera. I don't think I ever posted this one on my blog. Below is one more cell phone shot. I guess the cell phone camera can handle an onion better that it can handle a lake.
I guess I can't complain since my cell phone camera was free as long as I stuck with my cell plan which I was going to do anyway. For the most part though I'll stick with using my canon powershot A610 unless I don't have it with me.

intriguing photos. i have no idea about cell phone photos. I have no bells or whistles on my phone. i even have text messages turned off (which I think that phone companies ought to be ashamed of themselves for charging so much for a bunch of letters typed out)

You crack me up taking pics of the pics you took with your cell phone.
(I had some CarverBlogs to catch up on; yikes. Been busy with some stock research.)
I am on my second cell phone camera thingie and haven't figured out the transfer or sending of pictures part yet. Plus I am always afraid the stinkers will charge me for any new thing I do. I save pics sometimes when I am out shopping just to have a reference; once I took photos after this guy backed into me; he acted like a jerk. (He was a lot nicer when he saw me snapping away.) So I figure it is handy even if I am too dimwitted to use the functions properly.
Geez, you should see me with the DVD player.
So cheers to you, Bright Carver, for figuring the whole thing out!
I love all of the pics; phone or nifty Canon ones.
Love, K.

Do you realize if it weren't for Edison we'd be watching TV by candlelight?

Congratulations on the new phone. I am home, exhausted....not feeling so hot (probably from being tired), doing laundry and catching up on emails! ;-) I have something small to send you... do you mind emailing me your address?

I'm glad you were able to use the bluetooth feature on your phone.

This proves that the cellphone camera is quite limited when it comes to capturing true beauty of a landscape. Nevertheless, it's still good to have a cellphone camera.

Thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting. I agree J (Ascender) that it's terrible what the cell phones charge for text messaging. I didn't know I had it until I got one from my daughter when she was in ER during college and had an emergency apendectomy. It was great in that case since she couldn't call but sent me a quick text message. K I love that Edison quote. Sabine I emailed you.
