Today's Flowers: Camellia

Some of the camellia buds got too far ahead of themselves during a warm spell and started turning black when the arctic blast came bustling through.

Lovely shot Carver, poor flowers are very confused these days :) Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

It's still pretty -- hope the bush survived. At our house in Oregon years ago, we lost a camellia to the same kind of weather -- the second winter we were in the house. (I think we bought the house because of the camellia ;>) so it made me very sad).

Oh, that's shame that they started to bloom too early. I hope you still get some gorgeous blooms, though.

It's so nice to see buds. We're so wet and frozen!

Hopefully the buds will come through and bloom beautifully. Weather can be so unpredictable, but it does make gardening interesting.
