Weekend Snapshot: Number 50 and reflection challenge

I didn't do anything special this weekend so I'll fall back on my old standby, the lake which is up the street from me. I never tire of photographing the lake because depending on the sky, reflections, time of year, and other factors it is ever changing. I'm adding this line after reading early comments. I can't see the lake from my house. It is very close but it is at the end of the road I live off of and is protected by woods. I do walk around it a lot.
You can browse weekend snapshot posts at and on Monday at the home of Weekend Snapshot.

I found out today that one of the dragon hunt challengers is starting a new reflection challenge this week. Not sure I'll be able to post every day another week in a row but I do have a lot of reflection shots so it's a natural and fun one for me. As it turns out this photograph has reflections in the lake so it will also be my first reflection post. If you are interested in this challenge you can learn more at Quilly's Pacific Paradise.

WOW! You are so lucky to be living in that area! A lake just across your house? OMG! Nice blue sky too!

Happy Sunday to you;)

Truly lucky to have the lake just across the house! I love the blue sky and the lake waters.
And I thought myself lucky to have a view of the mountains from my bedroom window.

Here's my Weekend Snapshot.
Weekend Breakfast Special

Have a great Sunday!

I just clicked on the photo to enlarge it. What is that in the middle of the water? And what signs are those?

The lake is very calm and peaceful.
From the other comments I see it is just across from your home. That would be fantastic.

Thanks for visiting. I think I may have been unclear. I can't see the lake from my house. It's the end of the road I live off but is too far to see form my house and is protected by woods. I just walk around it a lot since it's in my neighborhood.

Lovely shot, Carver, I love water reflections.
Exceptionally posting on a Sunday, I found a reflection in my files.
Have a happy day :)

Carver, you were very clear in your post. As I was reading it, we had a power failure and I missed out reading properly. Later, I came back directly keeping in mind that the lake was just across your house, and posted my comment.
Sorry, it was my mistake.

How wonderful to have such a beautiful lake to go to! I can imagine myself sitting next to it, writing my posts. :)

It's good news that the polyps doctor found in you were benign and have been removed. What a relief for you! *hugs*

Thanks for sharing your experiences at my blog, I'm sure my readers appreciate it as much as I do.

reminscence of Lake District in England. The other day a group of us were at this quarry lake on an island off singapore (v rare!) and we joked about having a pot of coffee and lying on a hammock to take in the sights and chat. I envy you truly.
