Photohunt: Purple

The photohunt theme this week is purple. When my daughter was about 10 she decided she wanted a purple room.
We reached a compromise and I painted a chair and her bookshelf purple. I also painted the window trim on both windows and the door trim purple.
I shot the purple wisteria above at the beginning of a trail near my house on Monday. All of the wooded trails in my neighborhood are starting to have a ton of wisteria.Yesterday when I was at Shelly Lake I noticed that the Wisteria was so abundant it was starting to bring down trees. That's what I call purple power.
I took so many shots of the wisteria on Thursday that I couldn't decide on one shot alone.

Your pictures are great - I love this colour. The Wisteria is absolutely beautiful! I want to create a Mediterranean-style courtyard in mini-scale and the first plant I´ll buy is a blue Wisteria.
Have a great weekend!

A purple bedroom would be my dream. Hubby would puke though, so it will remain a dream, and I will have to get by with looking at your beautiful wisteria photos.

ROFL! That's funny about your daughter's room! Purple is not even close to the top of my favorite color list - but IF my daughter wanted a purple room... well... you can IMAGINE what I would do! It would be lavender and purple EVERYTHING! LOL!

I DO love the wysteria bushes! (trees)

When I was in the 7th grade we lived in a rented house high above Seneca Lake. Unfortunately no one compromised on the "purple room" theme in my room. It was purple. All purple. It was awful.

Funny, I always wanted a purple room. Now that I own my place and had a chance to paint the walls purple, I ended up just going with a purple comforter and purple sheets instead. I love your daughters room. The flowers are also very beautiful. Nice take on the theme this week.
