Weekend Snapshot: Number 44

The shot below is an old house that I thought it looked very festive all decked out for the fourth of July (U.S. Independence day).I took the shot below from my deck, on Friday night, of the fireworks which exploded in my neighborhood. Fortunately it wasn't a real explosion but it sure sounded like it.
Bill and I ate out Saturday night and I took a cell phone camera shot of my scallops, shrimp and vegetables. I'm not very happy with the quality of the pictures. I'm still trying to figure out how I can get the quality up to par. What I don't understand is that I set it at high quality but it never uses even close to the max storage. I'd rather only be able to take 2 or 3 shots but have each one be maximum quality but I haven't figured it out yet. Anyway below is my cell phone camera shot of my supper. What I do like about the cell phone camera is that I can take a shot without it being obvious what I'm doing. You can browse for other WS posts on technorati here and on Monday participants post their links here weekend snapshot home

very nice photos. about the camera phone. What do you have? I think you just can't compare to a regular camera. And Camera Phone inside just do not do as well as outdoors.

Love the house decoration, Carver! I saw fireworks too on Friday night. They were so beautiful and right in Barcelona so I assume they were from the US Embassy.
I am back from my vacation and slowly catching up in between laundry loads :)
Happy Monday!

carver; an amazing fireworks shot
I don't have a cell phone but I think the answer is once saved to your harddrive to open it in photoshop; use auto levels to correct the colors and then go to adjust -> brightness/contrast; or go to adjust -> curves and pull the bottom of that line down a bit and the top of the line up a bit.
Others probably have an answer bypassing photoshop...
