Photohunt: Hanging

The photohunt theme this week is hanging. If you watch someone being given a piggy back ride or being lifted in a ballet pas de deux , they will often be hanging on, in order to avoid falling. Below is a piggy back ride or perhaps a pas de deux in the insect world and one insect is hanging on to the other.
Next is the same pair at a different angle where you can't see their faces but it shows one hanging on to the other, a little more clearly.
The last shot shows what happens when the partner isn't hanging on quite tightly enough. That looks like an oopseedaisey to me. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Cleaning that dirty French door shown in these photos.

You can find other photohunters on technorati here - and on Saturday at the home of the hunt, here -

Great pics for this week - lucky you having French doors! Crikey - I only have ordinary ones.

Last time I had a room with French doors was in San Gimignano, at Hotel La Cisterna...

Uh, mom, I think your "hanging" insects might be mating...

Great macro shots of those acrobatic insects. :) It's so hard to take photos of insects because they normally don't stay still long enough.

Thanks to everyone for visiting. I thought I'd mention that this couple of dancers let me photograph them from both sides of the door. They were very cooperative. That's how I got some of the different angles.

Hi Judith pie, I was trying to keep my literal text family friendly since people have requested that from photohunt since their kids look at the posts with them. I figure most adults would see the sub text but they wouldn't have to go there with their kids if they didn't want to. Everyone isn't as matter of fact with their small children as I was. Speaking of which I ran across the where babies come from book recently and laughed remembering how embarrassed my brother was when little Judith wanted him to read it to her, ha. He said, I think you should get your Mom or Dad to read this one to you. Love you, Mom

David Attenborough stuff this, in all nature's glory..Carver!

Oopsadaisy!

Gravity always catches up, sooner or later.

Too funny. I have to edit a bit of the dog stuff hanging here too, and our little colt, sometimes I have the most beautiful pics, then upload them and realise, uh oh, there is something else going on I didn't see, or stuff happening in the background.

LOL - Clean those doors. I've had a couple of situations like that where the enlarged picture showed a bit more than was expected.

Like the take on the theme.

I've got a somewhat similar situation for a future post and have to figure out exactly how to approach it. You did well.

sammawow said...

Wow, those are great shots! Hope that you are having a nice weekend and don't spend time much time cleaning!
