Today's Flowers and Weekend Flowers: Lantana and hydrangea

The lantana around my mailbox is finally blooming.

Earlier in the summer the tip was close to blooming but it grew over the property line towards my neighbor's mailbox and they mowed off the buds while mowing their grass.

I was pleased that it finally set new buds on the cut off end.

My hydrangea blooms are all in their faded stage which I like.

The hydrangea is one plant that just keeps on giving! I love it at every stage. I'm glad the lantana survived... I love that little plant and it's one we don't see at all here in Oregon. It's funny how some plants (like the hydrangea) seem to do fine everywhere and others are very specific about where they want to bloom.
