The photohunter theme this week is hands. It is important when gardening to protect your hands. For that reason, I keep my clean garden gloves on a chair beside the kitchen door. That way, I remember (most of the time) to grab a pair of gloves before I head for my garden.
I could use some extra hands to get my wild and messy garden ready for the growing season. Below is a collage of some of the many parts of my garden that need a lot of work. The top row is my front yard, the bottom is my back yard. You can click inside the collage to enlarge it but I'm warning you, it's a messy mess that needs many pairs of hands to sort it out. Unfortunately, I only have two hands and an aging body. Please visit the home of photohunters on Saturday to find other participants.

a cute post from you today :)
It is that time of the year again, I too must dig my hands into the dirt. Nice take.
That was an interesting idea.. to use gloves in place of hands...Your yards are lovely. If it is raining at your house today, as it is at mine, I guess the gloves will stay inside.
Excellent post! LOL about your "messy mess" - looks like my yard. :) I'm ready to put the garden gloves on myself. Have a nice weekend.
I love your take on the theme!! I have thin and thick gloves to work in the garden, never thought of them. Very clever.
Happy weekend!
I use gloves as well when i work around our garden...
My entry for PH post this week: in HERE. I hope that you can stop by as well. Thanks
It always looks worse at this time of year! Give it a few weeks and it'll be fabulous!
Wow...so many leaves!!! Do you never have stormy winds? I have a big garden, with many big old trees, but I have no leaves on the grass. The wind blow the leaves away. I´ll never complain about stormy winds - I´ll remember your leaves...*smile*
Nice take.
Good luck with the garden!!!
Happy Weekend.
Love your photos for this week. :)

Carver: I must say we still have several weeks to go. It was freezing again this morning.
Great take on the theme! Happy weekend
Carver, I love your post! I'm sorry there's so much work to do - but the collage is beautiful! :)
I'm finally back in the flock... I had an incredible time last weekend meeting cyberfriends and with Roger Hodgson. It was a dream come true, and worth spending a couple of days without internet!! :)
Well you certainly have a lot to do. We are only going to work with a few rose bushes.
Miss carver, you are creative, so am I, check out my best ever....
I love your take on the theme!
Good luck with your garden :)
Mine is up too!
Have a nice weekend :)

Oh my, you DO need some extra hands for that large year! I love the cane chair your gloves are on, beautiful! My hunt is up early, please come and visit
Yes can't we all use an extra pair of hands, especially for doing the chores.
Great idea about leaving the gloves out.
So... along with willing hands, I take it that you also have a green thumb! ;b
Hahahaha~ But I'm pretty sure you're enjoying the new season!! :) Great for your walks too.. I miss your post on those walks!
You look like you have your hands full (har har). Happy hunting!
That's a lovely post. My dream is to have a garden of my own.
I knew this would be an interesting theme and it is..My gloves are always ready for the bird feeders.. Love the collage... Michelle
Great choice for the theme. I had some of those on yesterday. :)

Now that was interesting. Hand-less gloves!

I hire someone for that extra pair of hands that help me in our little garden because I am too lazy to do the little work that needs to be done :D
Happy weekend,Carver :) I love your garden as it is.
I like the look of it regardless. You have the making of excellent mulch lying around there.
OH Gardening. Stop reminding me what I NEED TO DO! :)
Great take on the theme, Carver!
Have a fabulous weekend! :)
It is that time... to get out and play in the dirt.
I am great now, but not so much in august when it is to hot. The weeds can have it!
You are so right in protecting your hands. They are always subject to use and sometimes, neglect. I would love to help you with the gardening. I kinda like that activity very much:) although I don't have green thumb.
Good play on hands! I have lots of yard clean up to do too!
Nice take on the theme.
Great idea, keeping those gloves handy by the door! I'm eXcited to do some work in the yard. If only there were a break in the rain...
Yep...time to start all that gardening...
Mine's up, too.

those would come in 'handy' for planting! Beautiful take! Enjoy the weekend!
That's a good idea! Can't tell you how many times I get to digging without gloves and wishing I had remembered them!
Whew! Looks like you need more than a couple of extra hands!
Great pictures for our Photo Hunt theme this week.
You have a lovely big garden, if I lived nearer I would come and give you a hand.
Oh Carvee,

Nosiree, not AbbeyDog. I mite get my footies all wet and I thinks it is sumpin like a baff in that layke.
And we bofth hates to get baffs.
See what I meen abowt odd behayvyer frum my seester?
Anyway, we wood luff to give you a helping paw with yer garden if were close enuff. We can dig holes real gud, ya know. But we doesn't like to wear gluffs. Nor take baffs.
So, even tho I get kinda stinky, I remain
A Veree Gud Dog.

PS My Kim feels reel bad abowt sumpin cawled not staeeing in tuch. I unnerstand staee real gud and I lyke to tuch. The combunayshun is confoosing to my DogBrayn, but she sez that yew unnderstand. She is studeeing awl the tyme. Bedder her than me! :)
Gardening is something you really gotta love to get enthusiastic about it, old or young.
Great take... very unique. Hope a few extra hands find their way to your garden!
Cool gloves and great idea for the theme this week. I put things in front of my door so I won't forget them and still manage to walk right by them much too often :)
Garden gloves, of course! Very nice, Carver.
LOL There's so much to do right now at my house it's sad. I need to break out the garden gloves as well! Great post!
I try to wear gardening gloves and then I end up getting them wet or I pull them off and next thing I know my hands are filthy. Good take on hands.
