Weekend Snapshot: Walking with the bikes

I went on a walk Saturday and one of the advantages to walking on chilly winter days is there usually aren't very many other people on the trails. It was kind of strange because I didn't see another walker at any point on the path I was walking on.However, the groups on their bicycles made it very crowded. I don't know when I've seen so many different cyclists. There were families, solo bikers, groups, and couples.I almost got run down a few times by speeding bikers. Fortunately I made it safely to the end of the trail. To find other participants of WS please visit the home of Weekend Snapshot on Monday.

There is always some way for somebody to take joy away from a simple thing like taking a walk. But there isn't any snow....@:O

i would so like to take a solitary walk now and again but there's absolutely no chance of achieving it in this nutty overpopulated city and its surroundings.

Maybe you could consider cycling on some days as well :) The breeze blowing on the face is really nice :)

The park has its own beauty with all the trees naked. Hope your 2009 is starting out well.

Well there isn't getting out on any bikes here...the roads are covered with snow..and as I type this the snow continues to fall....they keep telling us it is going to warm up and rain...which it does for about half an hour then the snow returns....

All in all it must be nice to be able to get out and do a trail or walk like that...

I wish we have that trail here in my place. So peaceful and scenic.

Love your post's title!
It sure looks like a wonderful place to go for a walk, even if it is with the bikes :)

Love walking trails like this! It is summer now in Australia, so such open trails are very hard to find with walkers, bike riders and skaters taking up lots of space!

Didn't know there were that many bikers.

Hi there, Carver!
Welcome back! And, happy new year! I love your new banner - especially the picture in the upper right, with the swirl of clouds. And, congrats on the walking! I'm trying to get back to it, myself.
