The photohunter theme this week is scary. Hopefully I will be able to visit some early birds but I won't be able to do much weekend visiting so I'll probably be visiting photohunters late. The bird below finds the monster with the metal object very scary. Don't be scared. I come in peace. I want to shoot your picture not you.If you have time, SabineM and I have a scary parallel lives post at Snap2Days. You can visit other early birds at technorati photohunt and on Saturday at the home of the hunt.

My guess, the scariness of window pane reflections!! :P
This weekend we'll all have some early Halloween celebrations I guess..
I'm with Elaine:) This theme made me not like my post! :D Nice one here,Carver:)
Woah..... a little out of the ordinary...
I love this! I wish the birds and other creatures could really grasp "we come in peace" with our cameras!
And I love your photo and post about James Taylor. I blogged about him this week too (went to hear him in Chapel Hill on Monday night).
Have a nice weekend!
great post :D
Please drop at my PH post also : in HERE. Thanks
i reckon our cameras really look scary to the animals around.
whenever i'm in the park without my camera, birds come almost within reach but with the camera in hand, they are nowhere to be seen :)
The theme is quite challenging this week. But that's the beauty of hunting, isn't it.
Have a good weekend.
What a clever take on the theme, Carver! Size can be very scary, if you are the tiny one...
Happy weekend and happy hunting!
You shot the bird!! Scary human.
hehehe....
Happy weekend!
oh yes... I'm scared of my reflection too... ;-)
Creative take on the theme Carver :) Have a great weekend!
I'm sure you are not really scary Carver, maybe your camera but you have to be very cautious about everything when you are an animal or a bird.
Happy weekend to you.
Glass windows have that effect on me too.
Maybe that's why I have trouble photographing birds - they find me or my camera very scary! lol
Aww it's a shame the bird is scared. If only it knew there was no need to be frightened!
Another fun PhotoHunt week! have a great weekend. :)
Good one Carver! I hardly can get the chance to shoot bird photos as they found my presence to be rather scary.

If I was a bird I'd be scared too.
reminds me of the movie "shutter". hahaha!
have a great weekend, carver!
Very creative take on the theme. I love to take photos of animals but I am sure that they don't like me very much with my camera too. :)Happy weekend.
Happy Hunting!!!
u made me realize the birds look at us jus like we look at them hahahaha
Great take for this week's theme!
FWIW, *I* have no doubts that you come in peace, Carver! ;b
Whew, all these scary posts and a sigh of relief here. Don't be scared little bird!
Creative shots and cool. TC
I never thought of what picture-taking looks like from the bird's side -- very scary indeed! Very creative take!
Great catch for the theme mine's up too hope you can drop by... Happy weekend!
Nice way to turn the theme around. I've seen a lot of things that are scary to us but didn't think about the photographer being the scary thing. Great job!
Nice shot. Our birds are wary of me too when I want to "shoot" them.
you got the scare out of the bird.lol. nice entry.mine is up now.
You took a different interpretation but this experience is what we also go through, the birds are scared when we come a little near them :D
Have a great weekend, Carver.
That's a wonderful take on the theme! and I can quite understand why the bird would be scared of that shiny metal thing :)
Out of the box - and perfect!
Happy Hunting!
Great post.
Have a great weekend!
Amanda
Awwwwwww, poor thing. I bet its heart was beating like a drum.
Mine's posted too, if you can find time to stop by. Happy weekend.
Oh, I love the last photo and caption.
Happy Weekend.
Nice work, Carver!
Have to say- I don't find you scary at all, but I can maybe see the birds point of view.
:) fun post- love your humor!
Birds have such an awareness of movement around them it's very difficult to creep up on them, isn't it?
Here, birdie birdie. Nice birdie. hehehe.
poor little birdie.. i bet he is trembling when he saw you with that metal. =)
mine is up HERE Carver.
Nice take on the theme again. I haven't managed to photograph one single bird yet... :(
I hardly ever manage to think "outside the box" - so my pics are a straight-forward take on scary LOL!
Have a good week Carver (seeing the weekend is almost gone)!
I have a Halloween Treat for you on my Monday blog...scroll down.
Fabulous twist on the theme! :)
