Photohunt: Scary

The photohunter theme this week is scary. Hopefully I will be able to visit some early birds but I won't be able to do much weekend visiting so I'll probably be visiting photohunters late. The bird below finds the monster with the metal object very scary. Don't be scared. I come in peace. I want to shoot your picture not you.If you have time, SabineM and I have a scary parallel lives post at Snap2Days. You can visit other early birds at technorati and on Saturday at the home of the hunt.

I love this! I wish the birds and other creatures could really grasp "we come in peace" with our cameras!

And I love your photo and post about James Taylor. I blogged about him this week too (went to hear him in Chapel Hill on Monday night).

Have a nice weekend!

i reckon our cameras really look scary to the animals around.
whenever i'm in the park without my camera, birds come almost within reach but with the camera in hand, they are nowhere to be seen :)

The theme is quite challenging this week. But that's the beauty of hunting, isn't it.

Have a good weekend.

What a clever take on the theme, Carver! Size can be very scary, if you are the tiny one...
Happy weekend and happy hunting!

I'm sure you are not really scary Carver, maybe your camera but you have to be very cautious about everything when you are an animal or a bird.

Happy weekend to you.

Glass windows have that effect on me too.

Maybe that's why I have trouble photographing birds - they find me or my camera very scary! lol

Aww it's a shame the bird is scared. If only it knew there was no need to be frightened!

Good one Carver! I hardly can get the chance to shoot bird photos as they found my presence to be rather scary.

Nice way to turn the theme around. I've seen a lot of things that are scary to us but didn't think about the photographer being the scary thing. Great job!

Nice shot. Our birds are wary of me too when I want to "shoot" them.

You took a different interpretation but this experience is what we also go through, the birds are scared when we come a little near them :D

Have a great weekend, Carver.

That's a wonderful take on the theme! and I can quite understand why the bird would be scared of that shiny metal thing :)

Birds have such an awareness of movement around them it's very difficult to creep up on them, isn't it?

Nice take on the theme again. I haven't managed to photograph one single bird yet... :(

I hardly ever manage to think "outside the box" - so my pics are a straight-forward take on scary LOL!

Have a good week Carver (seeing the weekend is almost gone)!
