The rose of sharon (hibiscus) is well adapted to survive where I live. I am always pleased to see flowers in my garden. Which leaves the last meaning given for happy, a state of dazed irresponsibility. For me blowing bubbles on my deck, for a few minutes, when I should be doing some tedious task is a pleasure well worth the irresponsibility. That's why bubbles are featured in my happy collage below.
click inside picture to enlargeMy daughter is 22 now and has always been a bright spot for me so I included pictures of her growing up. My parents lived long enough to know my daughter and that made me very happy, therefore, I included some shots of my daughter with her Grandma and Grandpa. I like the theme, happy, and look forward to seeing what everyone else did.

I love this theme! The collage is so neat with all of the smiles and joy. The one of your daughter dancing with your dad is just the best.
I am sitting in the cafe at our gym right now where I decided to have lunch...because God's Water is pouring down in buckets!
That is making everyone happy except poor AbbeyDog who is most likely hiding in the closet due to the angry thunder.
Oh well, she is a big dog now.
Love, K.
It's so much easier to be happy.

Blowing bubbles has always made me quite happy, too, and now that I think about it, it has been way too long since I've done it. Memo to self - go buy some bubbles!
Have a terrificly happy weekend and thank you for your visit!
Thanks to all the photohunters for visiting and commenting. I'm trying to visit everyone and if I miss anyone it's probably because I couldn't get your page to load. Not sure if it's my browser but I've had trouble with a few.
To those who haven't seen an hibiscus like mine, Rose of sharon is a bushlike, and at time treelike, variety of hibicus. The flowers don't get as big as the tropical hibiscus and the leaves drop in the winter but then come back in the spring (or mine do). Mine also put out a zillion seeds so in the spring I have new plants coming up all over the place so that makes me happy because I'm a wild gardener.
My garden is so wild that some might question if it's a garden at all, ha. I even had one neighbor turn me in to the city because they didn't like my composting arrangement (years ago when I composted everything I could). The city inspector commended me on what a good job I was doing composting and that made me very happy.
happy to see a happy hibiscus in bloom. great choices of your collage.

Thanks for the visit. Take care!
Great flower shot. And what a wonderful memory the collage is. Happy Hunting Carver and it is nice to meet you!
Hi Carver - you were early and I'm late, very late.
Lovely photos. I especially liked the hibiscus ' cos I have one very similar in my garden which has recently been released from its overgrown neighbours. It still managed to produce some lovely flowers!
Interestingly, here in the UK it is not called 'Rose of Sharon'; that honour goes to hypericum, a low spreading, not always attractive, shrub with yellow flowers followed by berries in autumn. I'll post a picture to my blog for you in the next few days, if you want to check back.
Chris
Thanks again to all the Photohunters for your comments. I appreciate them all.
For Chris, I will check in on your site to see when you post the pictures of the hypericum because I'm very interested. One of the fun things for me about the photohunt is seeing different traditions and cultures and since I love gardens, hearing about different names for plants in very interesting to me.
What great photos. The flower is so pretty adn I love your collage. What a great idea for this week.
what a beautiful collection of photos! Thank you for visiting me :-)

Very happy photos. I'm partial to Rose of Sharon, too. The college, however, is my favorte of the two. Very happy, indeed.
