Today's Flowers and Weekend Flowers: August Flowers after Showers


The crepe myrtle tree blossoms were drenched in the rain.

The rest of the shots are of rose of sharon (hibiscus syriacus) after showers.

I frequently catch shots of bees burrowed so deep I don't see them until I download the shot like the one below.

There's some kind of tiny critter on the next flower.

I love the raindrops on the flowers!!! it is easy to get shots of the bees in such large blossoms, but harder when you are aiming at sweet clover...

Beautiful blooms Carver. Rose of sharon is one of my fave flowers, I have about 5 bushes in my yard. I think the white is the prettiest.

How fun to find a bonus when you download your pictures. I love seeing the crape myrtle (I know I've told you that a million times) and the Rose of Sharon, although I've seen it oftener than the crape myrtle, is not a real familiar flower to me. Loved the post.

Crepe myrtle is one of my favorite trees! Lovely shots if them and the rose of sharon!
