I wonder in the foxes I've seen this summer are thinning out the rabbits.
I haven't been walking at the lake near my house much this summer so I was glad that I did Sunday morning.
In spite of the humidity it has been a better summer for walking because it hasn't gotten extremely hot at all.
There hasn't been any reason preventing me from walking except for laziness.
Of course having it rain for part of almost every day is an easy excuse for not walking.
I know it helps me mentally to get into a routine of nature-photo walks.
One thing I missed this year is seeing the new babies on the lake.
It's nice how green everything continues to be.
My pecan tree is filling up with pecans.
After the pecans are more mature I need to cut back some branches on the tree.
My porcelain vine (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata) berries are starting to mature.
My virginia creeper is beginning to show signs of early fall.

I enjoy seeing the ducks, rabbit and all the wildlife! You have a nice clean blog. We love the country and enjoy anything to do with a country setting!
I notice some of the trees around here are already starting to turn (it was really cool last week, maybe that had something to do with it). Summer looks very pretty in your neighborhood.....I know exactly what you mean about needing to get into the routine of nature walks. I feel better when I do, but it is so easy to come up with excuses (too hot, too cool, too rainy). I went out this evening, so your post didn't make me feel guilty today, )))
Glorious photography, you are always talented with your camera! The little rabbit is so cute! :)

It does look amazingly green there for August. We are wxperiencing cooler than normal weather too.
Yep, get out there and walk, Carver. It's sooo good for you. :))
Beautiful shots of your lake. I love the picture of the country road. it makes me want to take a walk.
I'm anxiously awaiting for the pecans in our tree to be ready!! If the squirrels don't beat me to them. LOL
Love the pathway in the woods. Makes me think of Robert Frost's poetry!! Beautiful.
And we have a few rabbits in our birding areas. I've never seen a fox, but coyotes.
Cute rabbit and lovely photos all of them.
I can not believe it is already August...been cool and wet, here too...love the photos...so glad you took that walk, too!

I haven't seen any rabbits either and it has been very rainy and cool here..Michelle
Rabbits have been pretty scarce here too this year. Love your photos of the pond and its residents, and your pecan trees look so healthy!
I am glad you are having such a pleasant summer! And rain. I know what you mean about getting out and walking. It's hard sometimes! Love the photos! I wonder what could be effecting the rabbit population.
