Photohunters: Open
The photohunters theme this week is open. When I saw that I thought, this is a wide open theme, and I'm not joking.
The shot above is of an open door at the Duke Gardens Cafe in Durham, NC. The shot below is of an open window at the NCSU JC Raulston Arboretum Lathe house in Raleigh, NC.
The next shot was taken in the Art Park at the NC Museum of Art. The door is open on the "Cloud Chamber for the Trees and Sky" by Chris Drury.
The last shot was taken at the NC Botanical Garden at UNC in Chapel Hill, NC. The Ati (reproduction of an Occaneechi hut) below is always open.
For more photohunters, please visit the home of the hunt where participants post their links beginning on Saturday mornings.

The Duke Gardens cafe looks inviting. It must be nice to eat in such a place as this. great choices for the theme.
Definitely a wide open theme, and I love your choice of photos for it :) Happy weekend, and photo hunting!
I love these shots, openness YES
What a cool & beautiful collection.
Especially love the last one :D
Will be the design for my next vacation home ;)
All four are great shots of some very unique places in our area. I love the Cloud Chamber so much.
Happy holiday weekend!
Lots of open shots here, all great Carver. I wanted to find an open door or something like that but in the end stretched the theme somewhat.
Happy weekend to you.
Wow! I love this cafe concept. It's great to be in so much of nature in there. :)

*Snap* I also had the same notion of open-ness with regards to this week's Photo Hunt! Have a feeling it is going to be very interesting indeed seeing what people have decided to feature for this week's theme... ;b
Looks like most of us have got the same idea for this week's theme :)
Open windows/doors and all.
Happy 4th of July in advance!! :)
Great shots! I'd like to think of those open doors as a way to welcome good tidings.
I would love to have a cup of coffee at the The Duke Gardens Cafe :) Wonderful entries!
Happy weekend!
Lovely Garden. Very beautiful indeed. Strangely, but somehow it reminded me of the story and movie of Alice in Wonderful. :-)
Hope you have a nice weekend.
Wow, you found many open doors! Great ideas and takes on the theme, for sure!

I love how you interpreted with the group of open doors. Nice collection. I almost went with an anything goes interpretation of open.
I like your interpretation of the wide open concept!
wow love those from the Botanical Garden.
Happy Fourth!:)
I like your choices of 'open'..the hut looks interesting. Somehow I don't think that I ever would have enjoyed living in a hut. Of course what choice would I have had back in the day...Michelle
what a lovely place!
Mine's up -- My son, out in the open sea, swimming with the dolphins.
What a great idea! I love all of your open doors. Wonderful photos.
I like the "open" theme here...
God bless you!

You know how to travel. I think if I went to these places I might find traveling more interesting. Lovely images of doors inviting us to enter!
