Some of the daffodils are opening up into full blooms while others are still buds.
Such a treat to walk outside and see more and more flowers joining the spring show.
I don't mind the rain because I know how important spring rain is to see us through the summer months.
Every day I see more and more sights and my nose picks up new delightful fragrances.
I love periwinkle (shot above) and am glad to see the first of the blooms.
It's still early spring and I'm glad there aren't too many later spring flowers ahead of themselves because we won't be clear of cold nights until the later part of April, on average.
It is fun to continue to see something new everytime I walk around my yard.
The helleoborus (lenten rose) above and below has done pretty well in spite of getting way ahead of itself in the winter.
Last year, spring in general started too early and there was a lot of damage done by very cold temperatures but this year is more on schedule.
It's nice to see the groundcovers begin to have their tiny blooms (shot below).
I feel like the colorful flowers are like a burst of sunshine on the ground to counteract the cloudy skies.
I'm not in a hurry for summer so it suits me fine that we are still having some chilly weather although it's beginning to warm up a bit more each day.
I guess I'll end with one more shot of rain soaked daffodils.

You've already got flowers? Ah, well, I only ever had grass to begin with.
oh you have capture early spring at it's finest...wonderful photos!
These photos in the rain are so beautiful. They would likely be as pretty if taken in sunshine by your hand, but the drops on the flowers are so much more evocative of spring.
