Today's Flowers: Early Spring Fever

I've entered into the time of year where I walk my garden daily to see if any flowers are blooming yet. I was thrilled to spot my first crocus this Tuesday.
Photobucket

By Wednesday it was beaten down by a little snow we had over night.

Photobucket

Thursday was a pretty day and the snow had melted with more and more crocuses throwing out their colorful blooms.

Photobucket

I haven't planted new crocuses in many years and they don't all still come up, but I'm pleased that a couple of varieties have continued year after year.

Photobucket

On Friday the garden check revealed the first little daffodil blooms.

Photobucket

Yesterday, Saturday, there were more and more little daffodils opening up for me.

Photobucket

I was so envigorated by the pretty day and blooms on Saturday, that I started cleaning up my garden somewhat.

Photobucket

A few trees have even started to add their spring fling to contrast with the blue sky.

I can't wait to see this in my yard. Thanks for accepting my FaceBook invitation. I did it after much prodding from my family.....I guess it collects addresses from my e-mail... So you really are 'Carver'... Michelle
