Today's Flowers: My garden has sprung

There is so much in bloom at my house that I hardly know where to begin.
Photobucket
I guess I'll begin with my favorite variety of narcissus which is blooming. Apparently it's also a favorite of some critter because it's petals are being eaten.
Photobucket
I took a shot at dusk of my camellias (left bush below) and peiris japonica (right bush below) because as it grew dark they almost looked like they were covered in snow puffs.
Photobucket
Below is a daytime close-up of the Pieris Japonica blooms. Bill gave me that bush the first Christmas after my Dad died which was 24 days after his death. I kind of think of it in part as a memorial to my Dad.
Photobucket
Over a couple of late afternoons last week I photographed the moon through a couple of flowering trees which was fun. Below is one with the moon and pink magnolia.
Photobucket
The redbud in flower laces the sky but it also amuses me how it forms small flowers on the thick bark of the main part of the tree too.
Photobucket
Then above the thick bark the thin branches in flower form the view I associate more with the redbud in flower.
Photobucket
I'm so glad that such a variety of narcissus are in bloom because they are so lovely to smell as well as to see.
Photobucket
I'll end with a cheerful yellow variety which makes me think of sunshine on a stem.

Gorgeous shots of your spring flowers!
Now I can tell you that I have ordered a Redbud tree from my local plantshop. He will buy it in Holland. I really hope the Redbud will like the climate here...*smile*. I just have to try!

Wonderful shots of all your lovely blooms!
You are a little ahead of us. I think by next week I'll have lots of blooms as well.
So sorry something is nibbling on the narcissus.
I'll have to check my redbud. I've not noticed the bark growing flowers.
Have a great week Carver!

Fantastic series of flowers here. I loved the tree with the flowers sprouting out of it, and also your moon shot but truly all your photos are delightful. Have a great week Carver.

Quite a nice parade of flowers. I have never had anything eat the Daffodils around here. I wonder what is was.

What a lovely sampler of spring flowers and blossoming trees you have shared. Where I live we don't have redbud trees and I do miss them so as I grew up in a part of the country where this time of the year the woods were full of redbud and dogwoods.

Thanks for visiting my place.

This is beautiful collection of spring flowers. All your photos are delightful but I like the most your narcissus photos, the one with the buds on the bark of the tree and the photo with the red bud against lovely blue sky and with the moon.

Gorgeous photos--they put a spring in my step just looking at them (well, after I get up from the computer). I love the photo of the redbud tree with litle flowers popping right out of the trunk---I've never seen that before!

Those are beautiful Spring blooms. I love the image with the moon on it. Great shots as always.

All the pics are great but the redbuds with the moon is fantastic. I had redbuds when I lived in Missori. I miss them now that I live up north.

All the flowers in this post except the redbud are also in my mountain garden.
The first narcissus, is it perfumed?

Lovely photos.

I'm so jealous. We're still in the mud phase of Spring.

I gave you the Sunshine Award today.

Carver--I didn't know that redbud put blooms out on the trunk! That's really interesting. I don't think it's a tree we have here.

Thanks for checking the scent. Aren't you glad my question sent you out to discover that? It is my favourite too.
I'm sure that is the flower Narcissus was turned into because he was so vain.
