Different Views

I normally get to work from my computer at home but yesterday I had to work at the office in Durham all day, and I'll have to go back today too. Driving there in fog and rain yesterday made me realize how glad I am not to have to commute most of the time. I did get some different views and managed to snap the shot above, from my office window, of the old Durham athletic park where the the movie Bull Durham was shot.
The horizontal streaks at the top of the photos are the fluorescent lights. I took the shots when I was alone in the conference room putting together some materials. I thought I'd be pushing my luck if I turned off the lights to snap shots from the window since people were in and out. It might look a little odd to have me alone in the dark shooting out the window. The drive home was better than the drive there because the rain was light and it wasn't foggy. The weather today is pretty much the same as yesterday but at least it's unusual for me to have to work on site. I am grateful for that.

Now that is great that most days you can work in the comfort of your own home. It's been a while since I've seen some rain...

It's raining in Mumbai too, and commuting from home to office and back is quite a nightmare sometimes.

what a great perspective on your surroundings....you know everytime I hear Durham I think of Durham University and Cathedral in England....I visited there many years ago and it was spectacular...but then your photo always pique my curiosity...

We both have rainy weather from the different parts of the world today.
Except I didn't have to work, thanks to the rain :P

Love the picture of the rain, and love how everything seems clean afterwards- especially for you -since pretty soon you will get those crisp fall days.
