I went on a 3 day trip to the mountains this weekend. I took this photograph from the car and we were moving fast so I didn't get the whole tree but I liked the affect. We went on hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday and today. We got home tonight so I haven't had time to look through my tons of photos yet but I think this one screams Autumn.

I love the rich colors. This was our peak weekend in Connecticut, and it looked very much like this tree!

:) my favorite- car shots -but I don't think a lot of people could take such a great picture standing still. The colors our so rich- and yes it does scream fall. Glad you had a good trip-looking forward to seeing more pictures from it.

I've been hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway the last 2 days. One day it was just south of Mount Pisgah - Graveyard Fields. The next day it was Mount Mitchell (cold, cold). Do you think we would have recognized each other?
