Halloween, Embarrassment song, and garden update

Happy Halloween tomorrow. I hope all will be safe and get treats without tricks. I already posted my pumpkins for weekend snapshot and I decided not to carve. The photograph above is one I took in color of a blue sky with wild looking clouds but I decided I liked the half tone version, particularly for the time when the witches ride. Halloween also seems like a good time to post a windows movie I made with one of my original songs. The song title is Embarrassment and I recorded this in 1998. Since Halloween is the night of the bizarre, I give you my bizarre, and yes embarrassing song about embarrassment. But first an embarrassing picture of me taken sometime around 2002. Even I'm not quite loose enough to find embarrassing pictures of myself to accompany the music, except for the one above. I can't use embarrassing pictures of family and friends as I know some of them follow my blog. Besides, I'm not that mean. So the song is sung and written by me and the photographs are from Funpics. There are reasons I think the photos I picked go along with the song but it may not always be obvious why I thought that. So without further ado, Embarrassment song made into a windows movie below:

Update on my autumn garden, photo below of my babies all tucked in for the first night of freeze warnings which was last night:

Don't they look snug as a bug in a rug. I bet there are a few bugs joining the plants for a warm cozy bed.

I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween Wednesday!

I don't find your song bizarre at all...embarrassing things are second nature to some of us, dear Carver.
Great job! The clouds are so SPOOKY and likely to usher in some fun embarrassing Halloween frivolity!

Wow, Great song! It is what goes through one's head as you are feeling that moment of embarrassment!
OMG OMG OMG! ;-)

Great photos to go with the video!

I am going to be Yoda for Halloween. I normally don't like to dress, but we are having a stable party. So Malina, Maya, and I are jedi's and So is the HORse! I will take some photo! Maya is Luke Skywalker. TOO CUTE!

Don't think your "embarrassing" photo is embarrassing (not like those accompanying your great song!!) - but it's hilarious for sure! :)

Happy Halloween Carver!

Thanks Sabine and Happy Halloween to you too. And K, Ha the hat is what makes that picture embarrassing. Well, the hat and me at a very heavy stage daring the sled to break under my weight.

Unfortunately, the second photo did not download for me. But I love the spooky clouds.
Hapy Halloween.

I found the clouds to have the same texture as the snow picture; can't you still hear the crunchy snow?

Carver said...

Hi Voyager, I worry sometimes that my blog is so photo intensive it may rebel and not download anything but the 2nd pic was just a silly shot of me on a sled.

Hi Ascender, I wouldn't have thought of that but the clouds and snow are similar in texture. I can indeed hear the crunchy snow. It's been such a hot summer here I wouldn't mind if we got more snow than usual although I need to be careful what I wish for.

Wow, another great song- I liked the tempo. You chose some great shots to go along with the song-they made me smile.

Also like the dark and stormy night picture.

ohh and my comment wouldn't be complete to say you were really styling on that sled with that hat!

Carver said...

Thanks Theresa and as to the hat, oh me oh my. The funny thing is that it's a cute hat when it's folded up but when I do that it doesn't stay over my ears so I went with the cat and the hat look. Speaking of cats, I hope you take lots of pictures of your "Cats" Halloween costume. When you mentioned that on your blog, I was intrigued with how you would throw it together last minute.

Good song carver, great photos too. Are you having frost so soon?
Happy Halloween to you too.

Carver said...

Thanks JMB, We have had frost warnings the past two mornings but I'm not seeing it on the plants or my car which is usually the place it's most noticeable. It's hovering right around freezing this morning. Happy Halloween.

Hi Carver, thanks for visiting my snapshots memory blog, I'm just now getting around to visiting back...busy week! Anyway, I enjoyed your pictures today, especially the cool one of the sky. And the "embarrassing" picture--hey, you are young at heart, like me! I have a picture of me, all grown up, sitting in my neighbor's child's baby pool on a very hot day. :) Happy Halloween!

Hi IrishCoda, I have ended up in baby pools on more than one occasion. Thanks for visiting. I've been enjoying weekend snapshot and enjoyed your WS shots.

Thank you so much Karoline. I have enjoyed posting some of my music. Although it's been ages since I've had the interest in performing it's kind of fun to make these little windows movies with my original songs. Take care, Carver
