I didn't have to think very long about how to combine the two themes because I inherited a large amount of cloisonne which used copper and enamel in the design and has a special texture.
I didn't have time to polish the copper so it would shine and some of the enamel is pitted so it doesn't look as good as it did before I ended up with the pieces.

What beautiful pieces! Have a wonderful weekend Carver!
Beautiful (and I for one wouldn't have thought or noticed that it wasn't polished). Family pieces are the best kind of decoration.
Those are pretty pieces. I don't think they need polishing at all.
Perfect for the theme.
Pretty pieces of copper!!
Hi Carver --
Somehow, I had the hardest time thinking of items that had copper in them -- and no, I didn't think of cloisonne ware! ;b
I love cloisonne ware and own a few cloisonne jewellery boxes. I forgot they have copper in them.
Those are lovely, and have special meaning to you as well!

They are really lovely pieces!
What a beautiful vase never seen one quite like that.
Is that dried lavender beside it?
Mine is up and coffee is on
