Nature Notes: Changes continue

Although my dogwood trees haven't changed this much, I spotted a dogwood in my neighborhood that is getting its full fall colors.

There are a few other trees beginning to get their fall colors.

Most of the trees are still green but beginning to have subtle changes.

There are a few male cardinals that still have their transitional feathers.

The mourning dove is foraging on my deck.

The catbird is on my deck wall. The biggest change is the cooler temperatures which I like.

Lovely fall colours! And I love the shot of the cardinal with the beautiful shadow of the tail feathers.

Lovely photo...thanks for sharing them with those of us who love birds. The cardinal was always one of my favourites when I lived in Ontario, but unfortunately, they do not make it over to the west coast...
