The municipal building which houses city government where I live is not magical at all, and I tend to avoid having any of it included when I photograph more attractive buildings downtown.
I find morning light magical and I discovered these morning shots I photographed of cranes hovering above the municipal building (city hall). It almost seems like magic that the cranes don't get tangled up in the air.
I guess this was a reach but it was the only thing I could think of for city hall and definitely the only way I could imagine combining it with magical. Gattina's City Hall photohunt is here and Sandy's Magical Photohunt is here.

Good job! There usually isn't much magical about municipal buildings -- or workers -- that's for sure.

I was in the same boat as you as I don't find the City Hall buildings where I live (Hong Kong) to be all that impressive. Came up with something though -- just as you did. (Good job, more than by the way!) :b

I couldn't figure out why everyone was posting pictures of City Hall and making them magical - then I remembered that other photo hunt. i'll stick with one . . . two is too much work. LOL
For me it is really magical when cranes that huge won't feel down. Awesome shot!
