Photohunters: Wooden

I have a wooden swing on my wooden deck. I fear both are deteriorating.

I also have a deteriorating wooden rocking chair on my wooden deck.

Considering how animated the birds usually are in their bath, this bluejay almost has a wooden expression.

What a great pic of the blue-jay and yes he/she kinda looks sullen. These are all good examples of wooden, but I do enjoy the creative take with the last one :)

LOL at the grumpy bird! I love the way weathered wood looks but it sure doesn't last very long. Nice photos!

Hope you have a good weekend.

I love the wooden swing.

My entries for Wooden are here and here.

Your garden furniture looks weather beaten but also picturesquely rustic, Carver! Do you (still) use them much?

Your swing looks like mine... mine doesn't get used much and is wasting away under the cedar tree.. Love your interesting photos of your deck and old rocker...Liked the bird!

Great shot of the jay. I love the texture and color of aged wood. This was an issue in the old neighborhood, but out here in the country I can revel in rust and rot.

Looks like someone could get a sliver.
That blue jay sure looks like it's having a bad hair day.

Coffee is on.

That is one of the disadvantages of wood - doesn't last well in the outdoors - mind you, I confess that I love the LOOK of well-weathered wood (although I might not try and rest upon it. LOL)

Have a great weekend.

your wonderful swinging and rocking seats are worth preserving!

I like that you showed two different usages of the word! And all are great pictures. Wood is real and so it does deteriorate -- but beautifully.
