Nature Notes: Spring in spite of me

I am feeling so stale and uninspired at the moment I almost skipped nature notes.

A small corner of my garden below illustrates how spring is beginning in spite of me. It's a messy garden but lots going on in it in terms of mother nature, nothing in terms of me.

I guess technically, there are several weeks ahead before spring officially arrives and it's certainly back and forth weather wise.

It certainly looks like spring and perhaps I'll get a burst of energy soon to match nature's energy.

I love the periwinkle at the bottom! It is so cold here that being outside made me shiver. But you have spring springing up.

Maybe I'll do a nature notes next week, after I get some crocus photos.

Oh, Carver! I know just how you feel! Except your spring is actually happening and it's still winter here!
In fact, it's snowing right now. Your periwinkle looks so pretty!

I think many of us are coming off the winter feeling uninspired...but spring is just around the corner, and soon our spirits will bloom along with the flowers!!

Your lovely photos definitely promise good things to come...:)

Are those green hellebores or what in the upper garden photo at the back? Do tell. And I am sure one or two nice days and you will feel the call.

You are so ahead of us! The winter sure takes it out of a person, but you'll perk up soon.

There is so little time, so much to do... so much that I want to do. The periwinkle is adorable... we have them growing wild as well. I had a daffodil show up in the middle of the yard... have no idea how.. perhaps the bulb escaped the flowerbeds somehow. I transplanted it back to be with its friends.
