The photohunters theme this week is school. I decided to go with some school drive-by- photo-shooting.
When I commute to work I am invariably stopped at lights and stop signs around the Durham School of the Arts.
I should probably point out that I'm talking about Durham, NC, U.S. since I know that I confuse some visitors to my blog from the UK when I mention Durham and don't specify which Durham I am referring to.
The shots are all quick ones taken when I was stuck in traffic at various points. I got a kick out of how the car in the shot below matched the tree.
Photohunters post their links at the home of the hunt beginning Saturday morning.

Great pics and looks like a lovely school! We have a Durham County here in Ontario, Canada too :)
Happy photo hunting!
Beautiful school and love the lush greenery landscape.
you'd better be careful of drive by shootings! folk will get teh wrong idea! lol
These are great photos. I like driving by that school too; I'm glad there are still schools for the arts these days. The tree is great!
Hope you have a nice weekend.
Durham's a university town and I'm guessing this was easy peasy for you. Love the drive by shots of schools.
beautiful schools. Way to go on that "drive-by-shooting" beause you have some beautiful places around you.
You always have such wonderful photos Carver, no matter what the theme. It looks like a lovely place to go to school.
Happy weekend to you.
Nice pics! Why do all the schools in this hunt look better than the monstrosities I attended!
We have the original County Durham of course!
Wow, lovely campuses! I would love to have a storytelling session on the grounds out there with children.
Durham reminds me of Kevin C's movie :)
Great weekend!
Thanks to everyone for visiting. Regarding the comment about the Kevin C movie, the ball game scenes for the movie Bull Durham were filmed two blocks away from the school in these photograph at the old Durham Bulls ball park.
That second photo got me thinking of my undergraduate school -- Beloit College in Wisconsin! :b
Those are some beautiful buildings you have there!
Lovely shots for drive-by photoshooting :)
I went to an art school during high school, the High School of Commerce, here in Ottawa. Sadly, it closed and they opened a new one which, to my mind, became too exclusive. Every time I pass the old building, which is now an adult education school, I feel sad.
My entry is a much older building.

Looks like a nice school, stylish!
God bless you!

we have the same habit...lol so my cam is always ready. :)
i can imagine the beautiful campus. lovely choice! yes the red car and the tree. :)
happy weekend! :)
What a beautiful school. I don't drive much, but there is a school I walk by a lot, and it is fun to hear the sounds of children playing.
Schools at north have great architectural designs! really love to visit them soon.. :)
I'm not sure if the car and tree match or clash. LOL "drive by photo shootings"
You are well excused - I'm from Norway;-)
I think you in this post demonstrated "The Art of the Moment" theme photos.
Great.
Neat shots of the school. I don't want to confuse you but we have a Durham here in Ontario too. ;) But hey, I KNOW you are talking about the Durham as in Raleigh-Durham.
Nice looking schools...
I like the photo drive. It gives me an idea of your area. I love old brick schools and the tree does definitely match the car.
