Photohunter: Heavy
When I saw that the photohunter theme this week was heavy, my first thought was to post a recent picture of myself. I decided against going with my first thought. Also, I'm a ton lighter after getting word that the impression line on my annual full body scan said: "no evidence of metastatic or recurrent disease". My next thought was my hand truck which is useful for moving heavy objects around.Since I had to move my recycling down to the bottom of the driveway, I thought I'd use the hand truck and take a picture of it. I don't ordinarily use a hand truck to move my recycling but a stack of newspapers is heavy, and I wanted to put something on the hand truck before I took the photograph.
Unfortunately, I had the recycling bin turned the wrong way for balancing on the hand truck. The bin flipped over and my newspapers and milk jugs were dumped out all over the driveway.
If first you don't succeed, turn the bin the other way round on the hand truck. My second attempt was successful. I got my heavy newspapers to the bottom of my drive way for the recycling pick up, and I got some heavy photographs for the photohunt.

Very clever indeed - love the photo with the spilled newspapers.
Happy Weekend!
Sadly I felt the same about posting a recent pic of myself :(
Excellent choice for the hunt, my own is online too :)
Have a great weekend :)
That's great news about your scan. I know the sight of recycling all over the ground. We put ours in plastic bags which rip all to often. Have a great weekend!
What a great take on the theme!!!
Love your new TITLE!
Also, I am going to participate on the EARTH HOUR, but that is the night that I am having my hubby's 40th bday party. I will have about 30+ ppl here. Do you think I can handle them all with just candles! COuld be a fun night! ;-)
have a great weekend, Carver!
Very useful for heavy loads--and yours is a lovely bright red as well. My heavy picture will be up shortly.
You need handtruck to carry heavy stuff. Nice take for the theme.
Aha, you clever girl :-) Love your creative side here!
I really like the spilled paper shot. Happy hunting!
This is one useful item for carrying heavy stuff. We just can't live without one around. Great pick for the week Carver. Have a nice weekend :)
Come in for some fun in Criz’s Sanctuary and/or some serious matter in Insight Criz. Have a nice weekend!
Hi Carver
Our first thought were the same, but there will be no "heavy" picture of me tomorrow.
I had to laugh when finding out you fit in the theme of recycling today. Since I have just spent the last hour trying to set up my onw Earth Hour site like yours, however I came over to tell you that I am joining forces with your site, since I had to use your link to get it to work- I figured you wouldn't mind since it is the same goal we are working towards.
Fun pictures.
hahahaha...brillant idea Craver! I'm glad that those milk containers were empty :P
Great photos for this weeks theme! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's idea of the theme word! My hunt is up, please come and visit
Whooops, lol... you really just wanted to make your entry more interesting, huh ;-)
Clever shots!
What a GREAT idea that was for HEAVY Carver!!! I like it much better than the "excess poundage" (that we both carry!) This was unique! I don't bet ANYone else has it!!!
Excellent choice!
Delighted to hear the verdict. As you know, we've had you in our prayers.
As a kid, I was taught the motto, ``If at first you don't succeed'' - so I can identify with your quest. Good choice of photo sequence.
Glad to note you have good news about your scan. :) And that hand truck is very useful. Nice colors too.
I am always so amazed how heavy paper is.... especially when I carry papers home from school.
Good choice for the theme. I agree with Mar & Pat, very clever.
Great shots! I loved the way you presented heavy.
So glad to hear you had a good scan. :) that is wonderful.
I love your choice this week.
happy weekend.
This is a great idea for HEAVY!! I'm always having trouble coordinating the trash and all the recycle bags.
This is a perfect idea... I like how you did this... great photo sequence.
The Rocky Mountain Retreat

Great photos and funny take on the theme this week!
Very funny post for the theme. Sorry I shouldn't laugh. Have a great weekend Carver.
it's amazing how heavy all of that recycling can get!
Great shots. The hand truck sure came in handy in the end. Glad to hear of your good news. Happy weekend.
Nice take this week,Carver! Great pics too!
Don't worry Carver, you are too strong for the cancer to come back. =)

yey to your great health! =] happy weekend!
Now is that good news! The best news all week! Congratulations.
Now imagine doing chores, like you did. And creating a mess, sort of like you did; with the frustration and time it takes to fix. Double that. That is what happens with everything I do!
Yes, heavy newspapers.
And congrats on the good news about your health!!! That's awesome.
My heavy is posted...hope you can drop by and celebrate my birthday with me. Happy Hunting!
yes, those are heavy!
thanks for visiting! :)
happy weekend!
Paper and milk both heavy if you have a lot of them. Good thing the bottles didn't split open. Last week that happened to a can of beer and it sprinkled all over the place!
My first thoughts about heavy were the same as yours.
Have a nice weekend!
That is a great idea for the theme and a good reminder to recycle.
Perfect, Carver!! A stack of newspapers *is* most definitely heavy. Sorry about the spill, but it made for a very interesting post. =) Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
To bring lots of newsletter must heavy, indeed :D
Will u visit my Photo Hunter : Heavy Thanks.
What a great idea for heavy stuff...
Those are great for today!
Glad your scan came back so well!
Wow great job on this one. Good choice for this week's theme. Happy weekend!
Baby Pushing Mommy
Agree that newspapers can be heavy -- especially Sunday editions! Sometimes, I actually get annoyed at how heavy they are and how much paper is in them (since there are so many sections of them that I don't read)! :S
Good job! Clever... :)
Newspapers ARE indeed heavy. Good for you for recycling!
Write From Karen
Thanks for the laugh, Carver! I move books with a hand cart. Handy little things they are! Happy PH! :)
I was thinking of posting a recent heavy photo of me. Then one when I was really skinny. But I decided against that.
I agree that those hand trucks sure do come in handy.
Those recycle bins do get heavy so I don't blame you for using the dolly.
Great story, all of it!
Apologies for having entered my url in your Wordless Wednesday Mr Linky, about two posts below. I habitually press tab to go from one field to the next and didn't notice it took me away somewhere else!
It must be so heavy...Great photos, thanks for sharing.
Mine is up at

Thanks so much to everyone for visiting my photohunter post. This has been another fun theme for me and I've enjoyed seeing what the photohunters have come up with on their blogs.

You are soooo clever!
Great choice for this week’s theme.

Sorry for the topple.Hope you are having a great weekend.
Yipes those rogue milk jugs! Now just what was their escape strategy?
You killed two birds with one stone so to speak...heavy duty photo hunting there Girlfriend.
Next time you can just use an anonymous photo of my backside.
No need for handtrucks either.
:(
Love, K.

Hope you're having a relaxing weekend ...
That's a good one! Bright idea.
Great take on the theme!
ohhhh i had something similar. i grabbed some sort of mover thing at the luggage place; strapped a milk carton on it; thinking I could just use it to move things. not so. it fell over at every corner. I like your solution better

Interesting take on this week's theme. BTW - I was so happy to hear your good news earlier in the week. Have a great weekend!
Just dropping by today to send along my heartfelt thanks for such a lovely happy birthday wish! Y'all made my day so special yesterday, and I cherished every single wish left in my comments. You're a treasure!!! Thank you kindly!!!
Thanks again to everyone for visiting and for your comments.
Very clever!! And looks like a lot of exercise as well.
Very good. Those hand trucks are very heavy. Ours is in the basement and pulling it upstairs to use it wears you out before you even begin the project.
I wasn't able to play last Sat but thought of checking your entry. Recycling is a worthwhile activity that people should take time doing. That hand truck looks very useful.
Thanks so much to everyone for visiting and commenting.
