Photohunters: Itchy

This may look like a pleasant summer trail but mixed in with the ferns and honeysuckle and other plants is poison ivy. I am very allergic to poison ivy. All I have to do is look at it and I'm itchy.

It would be lovely if we can enjoy nature without the itch :D Love the summery look especially that winter is fast approaching. Happy photohunting!

What a beautiful photo! I have to watch out for poison ivy too. This was a tough theme, I thought. Love your take!

I cannot distinguish a poison ivy from any regular greenery in the trail :(

However, thankfully, never been victimized or yet am not allergic to it :)

You know I wouldn't even recognize poison ivy! I never grew up with it but I know I encounter it on this continent, even if I don't notice it.

Poison Ivy definitely fits this week's theme. Fortunately, I haven't had a run in with it since my childhood.

Thank goodness there's no poison ivy where I hike these days. Instead, my main source of itchiness here in Hong Kong are bugs, particularly mosquitoes! So, yes, I definitely arm myself with insect repellant along with sun screen on my hikes!

That is one hazard we don't have in Australia. I hear it is a major problem if you bush-walk carelessly.

I try hard to keep clear of plants that would make me itchy when I'm on mu walks.

I'd be in trouble in them paths. I do not know what poison ivy or poison oak look like. LOL

We had quite an outbreak of poison ivy this fall near our house. Happily I managed to avoid it while we were out enjoying the fresh air.

My shot for this week's hunt is posted.

Have a great weekend.

That sure is a peaceful photo. Too bad there are some itchy plants in there.

I know about itchy nature, but right now I am having such envy for the change of seasons... palm trees, Central FL, blegh. I think they shall look lovely with Christmas lights, though.

A gorgeous walk--so long as you look but don't touch and keep the long pants on!
