Today's Flowers: Some blooms from the start of June

Hard to believe we are already into June. The flowers in this post are ones I've photographed around my yard between June 1 and June 5.
Photobucket
The first two shots are my neighbor's gardenias but they grow into my yard so I think of them as partly mine.
Photobucket
My gerbera daisies are continuing to do well and put out new flowers as older ones are finishing.
Photobucket
The purple cone flower (echinacea) I have spread out through my garden is starting to bloom although the petals aren't purple yet.
Photobucket
I know I've posted shots of my hydrangea earlier in the season but it continues to give me lots of photo ops.
Photobucket
The following close-ups of the hydrangea are all taken from the bush above during the past few days.
Photobucket
I can't get over how much variety there is in the colors of the blooms this year.
Photobucket
I've never had this much variety in color at the same time on my hydrangea bushes.
Photobucket
My other hydrangea bush has some variety although not as much as this one.
Photobucket
I think hydrangeas are one of my favorite bushes although they don't have any leaves in the winter.
Photobucket
I like the way some of my other bushes keep their leaves in the winter for year round privacy but the hydrangeas in bloom are my favorites.

Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers! I, too, have echinacea flowers frowing in a few spots in my garden. They are such unique flowers. As cut flowers, they last quite awhile in a vase of water, too.

Thanks for sharing!

I love gardenias, Carver, but never managed to cultivate them.
Hydrangea lead me to childhood and my mother's beautiful garden.

Have a week of joys!
