There are several shopping corners that are good for that which I go to regularly.
I've decided to call them shopping corners because they are at road intersections and have a few stores in some cases, and a few more than a few in other cases.
One of these shopping corners is immediately after leaving my subdivision and used to be a large garden center. Unfortunately the garden center went out of business after 40 years or so and was replaced by a CVS pharmacy and a garden and lawn furniture store.
Another shopping corner I go to a lot is a little over a mile from me and has a pharmacy, grocery store, coffeehouse and a few other stores.
It's nuts in a way to think that within 2 miles from my house there are 8 shopping corners and 5 different large grocery stores.
Some of the shopping corners have a few clothing stores and several have large discount stores. One thing I like about these little shopping corners is they make it possible for me to almost entirely avoid malls. I am not a happy mall shopper and will do a lot to avoid the many large malls which have sprung up in my area.
I don't eat out much but if I want to there are lots of restaurants scattered between and in some of the shopping corners.
I don't like how over developed my area has become but I do like the fact that most of the shopping areas have a lot of trees and flowers.
I've been talking more about shopping corners than about the flowers in this post.
I guess it's o.k. to get side tracked. It better be since half of my blog posts end up being my meandering hither and yon.

At least with all that brick and glass they have planted well and beautified the area.
Your surrounding shopping areas look quite pleasant. I like the variety that has been planted. It doesn't seem to be cookie-cutter landscaping. :)
Lovely post Carver!
A very nice display of flowers! Have a nice week ahead!
Beautiful and attractive series of flowers! My favorite is the orange flower, very lovely.
It is nice to see businesses taking the effort to beautify with flowers - lovely!
Flowers here and there...
They truly make this world more beautiful :)
Gosh, what a garden conscious commercial neighbourhood you live in. I wish more places were like that.
Lovely gardens at the shopping corners. Beautiful photos!
I live in a very developed area too and I enjoy looking at the flowers they plant at the local shopping centers. Your photos are wonderful and a great idea to share these. Thank you, I enjoyed them very much.

It's pleasant to see all these public spaces being kept so well.
Beautiful colorful flowers. Awesome variety.
I agree with you I don't like big shopping malls either.
Too many people running around.
Love your flower pictures!!
- Cheers Gisela.

I do not like Malls. I still prefer the country towns with the long street with a variety of shops and small cafes places to have tea or coffee. One can walk under the awnings in sun or rain. Outside the shops are usually pots or tubs filled with flowers, trees and bushes. Usually there are also nice little boutiques not the dreary chain shops like in the Malls.
Around your shopping corners are lots of flowering plants it makes it so much more agreeable to go shopping! Great post for TF.
certainly worth it !!
I LOVE public areas with loads of flowering plants! It makes being out and about such a wonderful part of the day. And, the brick is so nice in the scene too.
Your photos show how the ordinary can be beautiful. My hat's off to those folks who make these flowers happen and to you for making these flowers happen for us.
Another gorgeous blooms and capures.
Have a great week Carver.
