Today's Flowers: Butterflies, flowers, and seeds

Photobucket

The butterfly in the shot above blended in so well with the wildflowers that I almost didn't spot him.

As summer winds down, more and more flowers are going to seed. I always enjoy photographing the Queen Anne's Lace after they turn to seed (shot above).

The flowers on the butterfly bush above, are starting to fade but still add a little splash of color in my garden.

My gerbera daisies died back mid summer but a whole new bunch started blooming recently. The shot above is of one that just opened recently.

Those shots are beautiful.
They show summer's ending, but give us hope for the same Beauty coming again next year.

Yes, the Queen Anne's Lace kind of gave me the creeps for a moment. But I agree they're beautiful when they go to seed. Have a lovely day at this end of summer.

Hi Carver! My first time to see the Queen Anne's lace in seeds! The flower is a beautiful addition to a flower arrangement!

Wonderful images, all of them and I thank you for sharing all, but the one of the Queen's Anne Lace. I have never at them when they have gone to seed before and I found your photo very interesting.

Beautiful photos. The one of the Queen Anne's Lace seeds gave me a start; looked like a mass of ticks! I'll know better, next time.
Thanks for sharing your photos.

Don't know how I came to miss your flower post, but I certainly did not mean to. Lovely bright flowers, I like seed heads too, in the home garden carrots and dill have pretty flowers and seeds too.
