Today's Flowers: Hibiscus and Morning Glories
I like the way some of my hibiscus (rose of sharon) almost look like a double flower because they are growing so close together. Some of the rose of sharon (taxonomy is Hibiscus syriacus) are so tall they are trying to compete with the trees. I have been enjoying the different shades of morning glories. Last week I showed you my white ones and I'm frequently posting purple ones. Today I thought I'd show me my light blue ones.If the photograph sizing is funky for this post, I'm playing around with different hosting sites. I'm trying to stay within the free storage for photographs and that means I need to start using another hosting site before I use up the free space on picsa. There may be a few kinks at first since I have a rather slow learning curve. However, I hope it works because I like photbucket so far and they give you enough free storage space to keep my blogs going after I use up the free picsa space.Today's Flowers Home

Oh, they look lovely!
I only managed to get a few blue ones and many dark purple.
But I got some seeds already for next year and learned a few things of what they like and what not.
I bet your garden smells wonderful with all these blossoms :)
Our Rose of Sharon is beginning to bloom, too. I really like your second photo.
Good luck with the experimentation on photo hosting. I pay for my own site, so I get unlimited space.

I used to have morning glory running all over my fence during my younger days. An old neighbor always use them for food coloring on her cakes :)

Your Hibiscus are lovely. So is you light blue morning glory. Around here, they are sometimes a curse ( a beautiful curse as they can strangle surrounding plants with their vigorous, lethal climbing).
I envy your rose of Sharon. Mine are extra slow this year - too cool and not enough sun.

some gorgeous pastels! isnt it odd how some seasons you get one color and another spring something different. this year i am enjoying the lupin which seems to be rising from the dead; though a salad for the aphids!
