Photohunters: Rock(s)

The photohunters theme this week is rock(s). I started with a shot from my garden with my frog sitting on a rock above. The next three shots are from a walk this past Sunday along a creek near my house. I like big rocks like these and when they are dry, I've been know to sit on them and read or write.
I wonder how the rock above ended up with those perfect holes which almost look like eyes to me.
The next shot was taken in Duke gardens of rocks and a small waterfall. The last two shots were taken at Linville Falle, NC. There are a lot of rocks there.I love rocks so I could go on forever. I literally have thousands of photographs of rocks but this seems like a good one to stop with.

Ok... I'm not going to kiss that frog. LOL! Anyway, I'm kind of a nature person too. I love to sit by those rocks and drift myself to dream land. :P

Happy Friday Carver.

I love rocks too. I had to restrain myself to just post one today.

I love all your rocks especially if water is running/falling through/over/around it.

Happy weekend too.

wow - the falls are amazing. I have not seen something like that. I thought the holes looked like dual belly-buttons. ;-)

Oh, my, Carver. Your rock photos are gorgeous, but you know, that frog belongs on Pollywog Creek! =)

I'd love to sit on a rock by a creek in the shade with a good book, too. Perfectly delightful.

Hope your week is perfectly delightful, as well.

Lovely series, Carver. I can't think of a better place to sit and read or relaX than a warm flat rock by the waters' edge... You have an impressive photo collection to choose from! I love rocks too and had a hard time selecting only a few to post ~ too many choices!

Amazing pictures of rocks! But I have to say that the first one of your frog is my favorite! Too cute.

I have mine up...not as interesting as yours but it's up.

Also if I may be so bold to ask...I've entered a photo contest and while you are over visiting would you please vote for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great rest of your weekend.

I would think the holes would be from water but if this is vertical... then wow... who knows?! Lovely rocks, so many shapes and sizes. My hunt is up HERE.
