I thought I'd feature the Crepe Myrtle trees that are blooming around town.
I shot the crepe myrtle above when I was at a doctor's appointment this week and the one below when I was at the grocery store. 
My crepe myrtle trees are like the watched pot that takes forever to boil. I took the shot below, this morning, of the one blossom so far on the one in my back garden. The one in front of my house hasn't started blooming at all yet. Interesting how far behind they are from the ones around town.

Crepe Myrtles, I don't think I've seen them before..but they do look lovely :) with all their lovely blooms turning towards light upwards :)

Pretty trees - we don't have them in UK either.
When we lived in Virginia these were everywhere. I love them but I don't see many here in my area of WV. I've seen folks cut them way way back and thought they would never bloom again - they did to my surprise.
I'm sure yours will be in full bloom soon.

That's true here as well. The plants in my yard are behind the plants on the other side of town.

I don't think I have seen a Crepe Myrtle since I move to the West Coast. They are all beautiful.

Crepe Myrtle is a lovely shrub not often seen in our town. But there is a lovely red one opposite my house and a pink one in town by the taxi stand. Not many others.
