My weekend snapshot this week will feature a bird that put on a show for me and Bill at the Lake on Saturday. First, I snapped the group shot.
Then I spotted a bird take off and start flying so I thought I'd try to snap a solo shot.
At first I thought I better snap a quick shot before it flew off or landed with the group again.
But the strangest thing happened, it kept circling a wide sweep overhead and there were a few times I thought it was going to fly straight at us.
I almost wondered if it thought my camera was full of bread crumbs and it wanted to be first in line if I tossed them into the lake, like people sometimes do.
Then I decided that it was a natural performer wanting its show to be recorded by the lady with the camera.
So I obliged and kept photographing its air dance until it got tired and went back to the flock.
