It is a wonder that I can do bees knees at all!. regardless; lovely photos of your veggies. next year i am planting veggies. I bet there will be a big boom of people doing that from now on with the prices and the gi issues in the stores these daysAscenderRisesAbovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04635424605245677136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32749386.post-78096631091342213702008-07-18T08:03:00.000-04:002008-07-18T08:03:00.000-04:00Hi Don,It is a treat to have back yard tomato plan...Hi Don,

It is a treat to have back yard tomato plants. I've stopped having a big vegetable garden but I'm glad that I did plant some vegetables this year because they taste so good straight off the vine.

Hi J(Ascender), Maybe you can mix up the veges and the flowers too. I didn't do it this year but I usually have nastursiums and marigolds in with my veges as they help with insects and are pretty too. Also you can eat the nastursium blossoms.

Hi Sabine, I'm sorry your garden hasn't recovered from your vacation, that's hard.

Hi Pam, I'm sorry that your drought conditions have been so bad. In comparison ours seems mild (now that it's over). Being in town the big issue here was our water supply got to where we didn't have but a few months left but then the rains boosted it back to capacity. I have a new appreciation for what people in your situation go through although I realize that I also don't really know what it would be like to have it year after year. I wonder if the fruit didn't set on the person who did grow tomatoes because the weather affected the bees or whatever pollinators were needed.

Hi Elaine (Napab...), As you know I already emailed you but in case anyone else is interested, the mandalas I designed myself were done using MS Word and also some with Corel Draw. In the meantime I found a site with very complex free mandalas at http://www.free-mandala.com/Carverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05968919406427737503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32749386.post-74875303377905275682008-07-18T06:53:00.000-04:002008-07-18T06:53:00.000-04:00The vegetables especially those tomatoes are looki...The vegetables especially those tomatoes are looking good :) Nothing fresher than coming from your own garden.

p/s: May I know which program you're using to make those mandalas? You were right and more observant than me.

Hi Michele, I wish we were close enough for me to share my veges. I will have way too many when they start getting ready to pick.

Hi Theresa, I love tomato sandwiches and cucumber sandwiches too.

Thanks Mary Anne (small town RN), We've had record breaking heat this summer but I feel so grateful for the rain. That has made all the difference.

Thanks Lori.

Hi JMB, My spring flowers were a lot more abundant than summer ones too.

Thanks Mar, I wish I did know about mushrooms but I'm afraid even with a guide I'd mess it up and the consequences could be so extreme that I don't chance it.Carverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05968919406427737503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32749386.post-64433619015152053332008-07-17T05:42:00.000-04:002008-07-17T05:42:00.000-04:00Your garden is beautiful and full of life!!
