Bill and I went to a classic car show in downtown Raleigh, NC. Of course I wandered beyond the cars and crowds to photograph the flowers.
It's nice seeing how well the flowers in the planters and pots are doing at the end of a hot summer.
If you look closely you may be able to see the flowers and plants behind the people and car. I figured I'd throw one of the classic cars into the flower mix.
There was live music on a stage near the end of Fayetteville St. where the outside part of the car show took place. It was impressive how this stage truck got into a fairly narrow space where it parked in between the building and barricade.

Wonderful colorful garden. Flowers are beautiful.
Lovely flowers Carver! It has been such a hot summer I'm amazed towns can keep their public flowers looking so lush and pretty.
I can't go anywhere without noticiing the flowers; or any other form of nature in the surroundings. Thanks for sharing.
The car show looks like such fun! How clever of you to take photos of the flowers too. :)
Nice flowers. That Coleus seems to be doing well in the sun. Its not just for shade anymore.
Flowers and cars do mix! ;-) Add in a mobile stage too!
Wonderful series of photos, Carver. Looks like a fun time, love all the pretty pots of flowers.
Lovely blooms!
Wild Beauties. Have a safe and blessed Sunday!
I've been there!
Nice shots

There's so much to see in this post... But maybe I could start saying that the header photo is sooooo nice!!! Okay, back to the post. The flowers match so well the sunny day... The classical car is a beauty... And I'm scratching my head wondering how the truck driver stuck it into such confined space... :)
God bless you!

Did you come into the Convention Center to see the cars in there? We were working there all day Fri and half a day Sat., setting up for the Galas for the Jim Valvano Golf classic. I wanted to go out on the mall and see the cars, but had no time.
Lovely blooms. Great shots.
My colleague and her husband join a car club. She has a humber. I must show you the photo I secretly took of the front of her car.
The canna flowers in the middle of that space. The flowers my grand dad grew in his garden.
The flowers are beautiful and the car is cool. I lived in Raleigh for 3 years. In the spring the whole city is a flower. Beautiful. Daughter worked in a bank by the Sir Walter Raleigh statute. Occasionally, we met for lunch in the courtyard. Nice memories. Thanks.
I really like urban landscaping. I have featured Des Moines' wonderful landscaping in previous posts. Thanks for this. I enjoyed looking at what they're planting.
The colors are gorgeous, my friend. What a beautiful day in a beautiful city.
Lovely garden. Great shots :)
Thanks for visiting...

The greenery in our Beton cities is def. a good thing. Just sad to think that for some people it's the only piece of nature they get to see,...
Love that Oldtimer :D!
