I woke up at 5:30 am this morning and was so excited about the election that I went ahead and voted at 6:30 am when my polling station opened.
You will have to pardon the quality of the photographs as it was pouring down raining and I was shooting under the cover of my umbrella.
In spite of the weather I thought it would be fun to try to record the early morning hours of the election.
I think this is the first time I haven't walked to vote, since I vote at a community center in my neighborhood which is a regular walk for me. 
The closest greenway trail to my house begins where you see the headlights of the car looking for a parking spot.
I know who I want to be the next President of the United States. That said, I hope there is a huge turnout across the country, no matter how people end up voting.

If I was American I would vote Obama also, he is very much the favourite in Canada also.
Hi Carver, thanks for watching my video :) I did early voting this year. It is gray and gloomy here also. Loved your voting pics! I am so nervous also!! I am wearing my lucky blue Red Sox shirt (wore it the two times they won & didn't wear it this year so it is still lucky). GO OBAMA!!! I hope NC turns blue!!

It seems likely that Obama will win. Then we will see what he can do.
